In February 2023, she was appointed Arkansas Surgeon General by Governor Sarah Sanders, further recognizing her expertise and leadership in the medical field.

At the core of Kiaora’s mission are two remarkable women, Pearl Barrett and Serene Allison —sisters, visionaries, and co-founders (best-selling authors of the Trim Healthy series of books and founders of the Trim Healthy movement) who have dedicated their lives to strengthening women through health and wholeness. Their journey to founding Kiaora began not in a corporate boardroom, but in their own homes—rooted in the heartfelt desire to care for their families and to help women reclaim their vitality.
Pearl and Serene have spent years walking alongside women through the highs and lows of life, listening to their silent struggles and recognizing an often-overlooked need: hormonal health. They saw how many women were suffering quietly through menopause, fatigue, and hormonal imbalances—accepting it as a normal part of life because true solutions seemed out of reach. This didn’t sit right with them. They believed women deserved better.
Out of this deep compassion and calling, Kiaora was born. The name itself means “have life”, and that’s exactly what Pearl and Serene have set out to restore—life in abundance for women across the nation.
